Fresh Strawberry Pie

    Cook pie crust prior to preparing pie mixture and let cool.

    In a saucepan, cook sugar, cornstarch, lemon-lime soda, and salt until thick.

    Remove from heat and stir in strawberry Jell-O until dissolved.

    Let cool for 15–20 minutes.

  5. 5

    Place fresh strawberries in baked pie shell.

  6. 6

    Pour cooled mixture over strawberries.

  7. 7

    Refrigerate until firm, preferably overnight.

  8. 8

    Top with whipped heavy cream before serving.
