    Brown meat.

    Add flour and a few tablespoons olive oil; stir for a few minutes.

    Add 8 cups of water and bouillon cubes.

    Add all spices.

    Add ketchup and tomato paste.

    Simmer for 40 minutes, stirring often.

  7. 7

    Add beans and cook an additional 20–30 minutes.

  8. 8

    Salt and pepper to taste.
