Sweet Potato Casserole

    Combine all ingredients and pour into casserole dish.

    Topping (For Christmas) 1 small bottle maraschino cherries with juice 2 small cans crushed pineapple 3/4 cup sugar 2 Tbsp cornstarch Cook topping until thick and spread over casserole.

    Topping (Any Time of Year) 1/2 cup of butter or margarine 1/3 cup of flour 1 cup of brown sugar 1 cup nuts Bake at 350°F until topping is chewy, about 30–45 minutes.
