Directions

    Sift together Shawnee flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

    Mix dry ingredients well.

  3. 3

    Add milk or other liquid until dough forms a sticky ball that pulls away from the bowl.

    Lightly grease a skillet or baking pan with bacon grease.

  5. 5

    Preheat oven to 400–450°.

    Bake 8–15 minutes, until golden brown on top.
